Welcome to the wonderful world of reading.

In order to read English you have to know phonics rules that show how to break down a word in order to figure it out. You also have to know “SightWords” which are words to be memorized.

For those who read other languages or those who are not familiar at all with reading English we will explain the way the system of reading English works.
The symbols we use are called letters. Letters represent sounds. The sounds are put together to make a word. Words are then put together to make a sentence. Words in English are written across from left to right. It´s that simple.

How the program works:

We will give you instruction for each lesson. Then we will say the sounds taught in the lesson. The words that use that sound are listed for you to read. You are to try to read the words in the lesson. If you have trouble reading a word roll the mouse over the word and it will break the word down for you so you can figure it out. After you try to read the word you can click it and you will hear the word read to you. Make sure you can read the words in each lesson fluently before going on to the next lesson. This is very important.
